Born on this slope
Daniele is a volcanological guide — the youngest in Italy — and an alpine ski instructor. He was born in Linguaglossa, at the foot of Etna's northern slope: the trails of these tours are the places he grew up in.
At 21 he has already built guiding experience on Etna and Stromboli, Europe's two most famous active volcanoes. Volcanological guides are, together with alpine guides, the only professionals authorised and certified by law to lead groups on Italian volcanoes.
The Regional College of Alpine and Volcanological Guides of Sicily — a public territorial body — oversees the training, certification and professional standards of every guide.
The goal of every tour goes beyond trekking: passing on respect for the nature, the history and the continuous evolution of one of the most extraordinary and active volcanoes in the world.
